Food is an important part of the school day, and at Wootton Academy we want our students to have a great choice of tasty, good-quality food in spaces they enjoy spending time in.
We are proud to work in partnership with Caterlink, who provide our catering service and offer a varied selection of meals, snacks and drinks throughout the school day.
Our Newly Refurbished Dining Spaces
We have recently invested in our catering and dining facilities, creating two newly refurbished dining rooms alongside a brand-new servery area.
The new spaces provide a fresh, welcoming environment where students can meet with friends, take a break and enjoy their food. Our new servery has also been designed to make choosing and collecting food easier, with a wide variety of options available throughout the week.
Whether it’s something hot and filling, a quick snack at break or a lighter lunchtime choice, there is plenty to choose from.
What’s on the Menu?
Our menus are provided by Caterlink and change regularly, giving students a good variety of familiar favourites and different dishes to try.
Depending on the menu, choices include:
- Hot main meals
- Vegetarian and vegan options
- Jacket potatoes
- Salads and lighter choices
- Grab-and-go food
- Snacks and desserts
- A selection of drinks
We want students to enjoy their food, have plenty of choice and be able to find something that suits them.
Special Diets & Allergies
We recognise that students may have particular dietary requirements because of allergies, intolerances, medical needs, religious requirements or other dietary choices.
Caterlink works with Wootton Academy and families to support individual dietary requirements wherever possible.
If your child has an allergy or specific dietary requirement, please make sure that we have the most up-to-date information so that this can be considered and appropriate arrangements discussed.
If your child’s circumstances change, please let us know as soon as possible.
Paying for Food
Wootton Academy operates a cashless catering system, making purchasing food at break and lunchtime quick and straightforward.
Parents and carers can add money to their child’s catering account securely online through WisePay.
Through WisePay, you can top up your child’s account, view previous payments and manage other Academy payments in one place.
We recommend checking your child’s account regularly and maintaining sufficient funds for any food and drinks they wish to purchase.
Free School Meals
Some students are entitled to Free School Meals (FSM).
The system is completely discreet. Students receiving Free School Meals use the catering service in the same way as other students, helping to ensure that everyone has the same experience at the point of purchase.
If you think your child may be eligible, we strongly encourage you to check and apply. As well as supporting families with the cost of school meals, a successful application may also provide additional funding to the Academy to support students.

Menus are designed to provide a balanced range of options while still offering the food that students enjoy. We encourage students to explore the different choices available and make the most of our new dining facilities.
